Final Exam information: There are two parts to your final exam, an in-class essay on May 16 and a multiple choice test that you will take on the day of the final. We will review the literature we studied this semester in order to prepare for the in-class essay, and we will spend a few days in class reviewing the material tested on the multiple choice test. The final exam will count for 15% of your semester grade, which means each part will count for 7.5 %.
For the in-class essay, you should use your notes about the literature we read.

For the multiple choice portion of the exam (which you will take on the day of the final), you should be ready for questions covering the following:
Sentence Combining--for these questions you should review how we use commas to connect nonessential information to main clauses and also how we use commas plus conjunctions (FANBOYS) to connect two complete thoughts in one compound sentence.
Tense--choose the correct tense of verbs. Read these questions carefully.
