Next makeup session is Saturday, December 7 at 9:30 in the Literacy Center. All makeup work is due by Saturday, December 14, the day of our fourth and final makeup session.

Friday, November 15--Monday, November 18: Finish this assignment for Monday: Background to the Odyssey
On Tuesday, November 19: We will begin reading the Odyssey together in class. (Note that the dates below are not accurate--I will update them soon. )

By the end of class on Thursday, November 21: Finish questions 1-5 on 1.1-131 and questions 6-8 on 1.132-239.
By the end of class on Friday, November 22: Read Odyssey 1.240-345 and answer questions 9-14.
In class on Monday, November 26: Read 1.346-506 and answer questions 15-22.
In class on Tuesday, November 27: Complete Book 1 Set the Context exercises.
In class on Monday, December 2: Bring your Chromebook--you will take the STAR test.
For Wednesday, December 4: Complete Book 1 mini-essay. Hand in a hard copy and submit via turnitin.com

In class on Monday, December 9: Read Odyssey 4.134-262 and answer questions 1-10.
In class on Tuesday, December 10: Read 4.263-659 and answer questions 11-16.
After break you will complete a mini-essay about Odysseus so far. In this essay you should present evidence from Books 1 and 4. You must also complete the planning sheet and submit via turnitin.com. (See Odyssey mini-essays above.)
In the remaining days we will get ready for the in-class essay portion of the final examination. You will write this essay during the final during class on Monday, December 16 and Tuesday, December 17.
