Senior Grading/Procedures

ATTENDANCE

Attendance is essential for success in this course.

Students who are tardy will be marked accordingly.

Students are responsible for all missed work.

GRADING

The scale for assigning grades to points conforms to department guidelines as follows:

A = 90 - 100%

B = 80 - 89%

C = 70 - 79%

D = 60 - 69%

F = 59% and below

• Your grade will be based on Graded Discussions, Short-term and Long-term Papers, and Tests.
• You will not receive a grade for everything you do in this course, but you will receive feedback.
• Revisions on papers are ALWAYS welcomed and will sometimes be required.
• No extra credit will be given.

Grade Breakdown: Semester Work-84%; Final Exam (RESEARCH PAPER)-16% (rounding will be considered).

LATE WORK

I will accept late work. Sometimes I will give a FIRM deadline, in which you cannot turn something in late.

That said, it's important to not fall behind. Weekly discussion work is the most crucial to stay on top of.
