*****************************************************************************************************************************
For the weekend of 8/25:
Finish your transformation graphs from class. Also, maybe go to the Backlot Bash!! Should be lots of fun!!
For Mon., 8/28:
p. 380 #1-8. Be sure to rate each problem as to how well you feel you understand it. If you don't feel great about one, write where it is that you are getting stuck. Make a note so you can ask your group in class tomorrow. :) Here's the KEY
For Tues., 8/29:
No Homework, unless you feel you need to go back, re-try some prior problems and reflect on your understanding. Oh and GET OUTSIDE...fall will be here before you know it and as of 4pm today, the sun is out!! Enjoy!
For Wed., 8/30:
Here is the investigation from class. You should follow along in your book in order to complete each part in your spiral. Attach the patty paper sheets near the parts they correspond to.
Here is the first part of what we did in class today, in case you missed it or want to take a closer look.
For Thurs., 8/31:
Assignment: p. 386 #1-4 are essential. If you have trouble, try 5 and 6 with patty paper in order to get another visual of how the new conjectures work. It is up to you to decide if you are understanding it enough. Rate each problem once you are finished. :) Our test will not be tomorrow, so don't stress. Instead, we will review starting tomorrow, then see how we fare after the weekend.
For the weekend of Fri., 9/1:
Start thinking about the Chapter 7 Test. Work on the checkpoint in class and rate your understanding. Then start working on the Chapter 7 Contract to help you record all your hard work...in order.
For Tues., 9/5:
Review for test. Complete this in class and check your work with a purple pen. Attach to your learning journal on the next page. Add this assignment to the contract we worked on in class Friday.
Ask yourself, will I be ready? What kinds of things do I need to do? Remember...work on what you DON'T know, confirm the things you DO know. Use your checkpoints, class activities, and homework to see how you have been rating yourself along the way. Anything with a low rating should be something you focus on. The Point is open for tutoring. Ask your group to help! Also, be sure that you learning journal/spiral is up to date and recorded on the contract. What pages have we completed? Have I rated and reflected on each homework? Is everything in order?
TEST IS TOMORROW, WED., 9/6.
For Wed., 9/6:
Be sure your are prepared for the test tomorrow over Chapter 7:
1. Complete contract
2. Reflect on each assignment, checkpoint problem, classwork problems, etc. Anything that you or I have rated as needing help or tutoring should be focused on...remember, knowing what you don't know is a great way to start the process of studying. Focus on practicing things you aren't yet confident with. Go to The Point for help!
3. Organize your learning journal...it is due tomorrow with TEN artifacts labeled, rated both for quality and understanding.
