Meet Walker's Differentiation Specialist

Mrs. Page-O'Connell
Differentiation Specialist, Walker School
M-F Full Time

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.              -- Martin Luther King, Jr.

I am delighted to be teaching at Walker School for my sixth year in District 181 as the Differentiation Specialist! I truly enjoy getting to know the many wonderful Walker children each year and I also enjoy working with Walker’s dedicated classroom teachers to collaboratively enhance our students' educational experiences.

I have taught every grade from kindergarten through eighth. In addition to my classroom teaching experience, I have been a Gifted Coordinator, Gifted Cluster Teacher, Advanced Math & Science Teacher, Resource Teacher, and an Environmental Educator as a Ranger in Glacier National Park and Flathead National Forest in Montana. I believe that teaching is the most rewarding career. I enjoy helping students develop a passion for learning, exploring and creating.

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” -- Albert Einstein
