The District 128 Special Olympics Program provides sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for our students with intellectual disabilities by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Our program runs from mid-September through mid-June of each school year. We compete in Floor Hockey, Basketball, Snowshoeing, Track and Field, Soccer, Bocce Ball and Bowling.
