  • I started working at Libertyville High School in 2015

  • I taught Middle School Special Ed. for 11 years in Glenview

  • My colleagues and I in Glenview won the IL State Board of Ed. Award, "Those Who Excel" for our work with at-risk students. It was a great accomplishment.

  • My degree is a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education, with a Masters in Reading. I am currently working on my 2nd Masters (in Special Education).

  • My students and colleagues call me an "organization guru"

  • I’m all about finding what works for each individual

  • I've directed & coordinated an overnight gymnastics camp for athletes with disabilities every summer since 2004

  • I’ve had 2 ½ dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds, 2 guinea pigs, & 1 frog (but not all at once). Feel free to ask me about my “2 ½ dogs”.

  • There are so many clubs at LHS that I want to be a part of: Bridge Group, Best Buddies, Interact...

  • I've had the pleasure to work on many amazing committees. Some of these include: PERA, So/Emo. Learning, Common Core Curriculum Mapping, & RtI Leadership Team

  • I was a gymnast for 18 years and coached for 15 years.
