Other Background
While in graduate school, I worked with the Autism Services Center at Illinois State University, where I performed behavioral therapy, supervised clinicians, ran parent support groups, and performed home/school consultation for students with autism. It kept me busy and was a lot of fun!

After moving back to the Chicago area, I was a research assistant for a pediatric neurologist, where I learned quite a bit about medical aspects of disorders like autism, epilepsy, and ADHD while helping to analyze and publish research data. From there, I moved on to my professional internship, and I even spent some time working at an Apple Store on the side (which was actually a great place to practice my teaching and listening skills!). From there, I moved downstate to begin my career in the schools, and I've constantly been having fun and learning new things ever since.
