Other Background
While in graduate school at Illinois State University, I performed behavioral therapy, supervised clinicians, ran parent support groups, and performed home/school consultation for students with autism through the university's Autism Services Center. It kept me busy and was a lot of fun!

Later in the Chicago area as a research assistant for a pediatric neurologist, I learned quite a bit about medical aspects autism, epilepsy, and ADHD while helping to analyze and publish research data. From there, I jumped into a professional internship in Winnetka — and I even had a side job at an Apple Store (which was actually a great place to practice teaching and listening skills). Following the internship, I moved downstate again for a few years to begin my career in the schools, and then finally found my way up to Wauconda in 2011!
