NJHS 7th Grade Expectations

For inquiring 8th graders:
If you were not eligible for NJHS at the end of 7th grade, but are still interested in becoming a member you have another opportunity. Please see the attachments below for more information about NJHS and the application process. Essentially the process works like this:
1. In January, you will be asked if you are interested in possibly applying to NJHS and if so, your name will be added to a list at that time.
2. When second quarter/first semester ends, administration will calculate your cumulative GPA from the beginning of 7th grade until present.
3. If your GPA is at least a 3.75, you will be sent an application for NJHS.
4. Your application and demonstration of all of the NJHS pillars will be discussed by the faculty council. If the faculty council approves, you will be given an invitation to join NJHS. If requested, you may receive general feedback about the decision rendered by the faculty council. Meetings with the faculty council to discuss possible membership are not permitted.
