Mission Statement

The UMD Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning provides leadership, programming, resources, scholarship, and support to foster meaningful student learning throughout the campus teaching community.

Vision Statement

The UMD CETL (Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning) provides support and guidance for the campus teaching community to develop high quality and innovative teaching. This vision is realized by acquiring new knowledge and skills that will facilitate learning as well as by finding and enhancing resources to support exemplary teaching and learning activities. The Center is faculty-led, collaborative, and inclusive in achieving its mission.
