About Us:
Founded in 2009 We are a small learning community at Lawndale High School. Our leadership team, staff and students thrive upon the community that we have developed. We provide our students with an educational experience that blends community building, focused education, support and experiences help our students to stay motivated, interested, and goal oriented throughout their high school experience.

Pathway Curriculum:
The Biomedical Careers Academy prepares students to pursue a great variety of careers in the Health and Medical and Sports Medicine fields by providing a strong foundation in Science and Laboratory Skills, Basic Clinical Skills, and Sports Medicine training and internships. All BCA Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are trained in First Aid and CPR.
BCA Students take a series of foundational courses to help prepare them for a career in the Health and Medical Sciences and Sports Medicine, and then specialized courses dependent on their choses career path beginning in 11th grade:
Freshman: Medical Biology and Intro to Sports Medicine
Sophomores: Project Lead the Way - Human Body Systems (HBS)
