CVSO and CVYS Join Forces to Perform ‘Music of the World’
The Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra (CVSO) will be collaborating with the Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony (CVYS) in their upcoming Music of the World Concert, sponsored by Kristo Orthodontics.
An international variety of musical genres will be performed. From Western-Asian influence of Yuzo Toyama’s Rhapsody for Orchestra, to the energetic, Cuban influenced Quia Quia (Cha Cha) by Percy Faith, followed by the renowned New World Symphony by Antonin Dvorâk are just a few pieces that will be performed that night. The accomplished Young Artist Competition winner, YaoYao Chen will also be sharing her musical talents through the Sibelius Violin Concerto.
Through the sponsorship of Kristo Orthodontics, the CVSO Youth Concert allows students to achieve a higher level of performance, and with the Kristo Golden Ticket students of all ages can attend the concert for free. Dr. Kristo has been a proud supporter of the Chippewa Valley Symphony and this concert in particular, because of its educational outreach efforts. “I seek out community programs to participate in and support that are good for kids and the community as a whole,” he continues,
“This concert will be a showcase of our gifted, artistic community members and children alike."
