Year 9

Year 9 students have the opportunity to visit Anglia Ruskin University for their 'Eyes on the Prize' event.

Ambassadors from the university give students a tour of the campus, and facilities and answer any questions that they have about life as an undergraduate.

Students have a presentation in one of the university's lecture theaters and then visit a careers fair where representatives from Post 16 centers and employers are available to give information about courses, careers and the different pathways available.

This is an annual event that all Y9 students attend at Anglia Ruskin University.

The aim is to give all students the opportunity to visit a University so it is no longer just a concept, but a reality.

The program begins with an introduction to the students pathway through school to further education or training and onto higher education and the options available. This is followed by a campus tour and an interactive exhibition and careers fair.

The tours are given by Anglia Ruskin Student Ambassadors, who give students an insight into student life.

The exhibition highlights the range of courses and facilities at Anglia Ruskin and also features stands from other Further Education institutions as well as training providers and employers.
