Welcome To Connections

Connections promotes and provides opportunities for adults with mental illness in the Catawba Valley region to lead meaningful and productive lives of their choice in the community. We achieve this goal by providing meaningful work, meaningful relationships, and the chance to feel a sense of belonging to a welcoming community.

Connections is located in Newton, North Carolina (in the western part of the state in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains). The clubhouse is in a rural area, on the outskirts of town. The grounds cover over five acres and the combined buildings give us over 5,000 square feet of working space. We are a program of Catawba Valley Behavioral Healthcare.

Connections Clubhouse is celebrating 30 years of service to the community!

Because of the COVID19 Pandemic we are switching our Chili Pottery Fundraiser up this year. There will be various times that you can sign up to shop at our Mud Shack (click here to sign up). Or you can use our online square store in order to make purchases before hand to be picked up on the 5th of December. Unique pottery will be on sale as well as the ability to purchase a ticket which comes with a complementary bowl. Use the link below to go shopping at our online store!

Connections COVID-19 update (4-2-2020):

Dear members, staff and Connections extended community,

For the safety and protection of our members and staff during this COVID-19 pandemic, Connections will remain closed until further notice in an effort to comply with the NC and CDC guidelines. Although we are physically isolated at this time, we are not socially isolated. We continue to stay in contact with members through outreach.

We will keep you updated. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay connected!
