Welcome to Ms. Groody's website!

Click on the name of your course below to see the daily agenda, homework, and due dates. This is the most accurate way to get the information you need if you are absent or forget to record an assignment. If you have questions or need materials, feel free to email me, or ask me at the next class. If you email, keep in mind that I do my best to respond promptly, but am available only during school hours.

For all make-up assignments, you have one week from the original due date to turn in your work (full credit for excused absences; half credit for late work). It's your responsibility to manage the timeframe.

ONLINE GRADES: grades change frequently during a grading period. Some assignments can be posted quickly, but others are time-consuming to mark and take much longer--and at the same time, new work is constantly being added. Your grade may change radically from one day to the next, depending on what has been posted when you happen to check. The only time the grade will be completely current is when a grading period closes at the end of a quarter or semester.

There is nothing we can do about the time lag, as long as the assignments are produced by 165 human beings (one of whom is you) and graded by one human being (me). That said, I provide this website as a way to help you stay in control of your work. If you scroll through,  you will see the work that has been turned in and is in the process of being graded, as well as the assignments we're currently working on in class--and on Aeries, you will see work that has already been graded. By using the class website and Aeries together, you have 24/7 access to a complete record of your assignments.
