Room 30's Home Page

Welcome to Room 30. My name is Mrs. Holden and I will be your child's Third Grade Teacher.  This website will be the place to look for important information needed for the school year. Please check this site often, as I will be updating the home page with any information you will need.

 To the left, on the side bar, there are links to pages you will need.

In an effort to save paper and ink, I will be attaching permission slips, forms and other documents that will be needed throughout the year.

Below is a calendar of events for Room 30. I will be updating it with important dates such as field trips, assemblies, holidays, etc.

Please take a moment to browse the site and become familiar with it.

Santa Clara County Report Due April 8

To support our social studies curriculum of local history, each student will be assigned a Municipal City in the Santa Clara County to research and display their findings on a poster board.  Students will share orally their posters with the class.

Key Information to include on your poster:

* Name of City

* Mayor

* Population

* History of City

* Key points of interest in city and/or famous buildings

* A MAP to show the location of the city

*Chart showing similarities and differences between your assigned city and Cupertino

It is encouraged to visit the city your child is learning about and to gather as much information as possible.  Your child might want to visit the City Hall, Parks, Libraries, etc.

Students must display their materials on a Poster board

Include pictures, postcards, and/or souvenirs gathered while completing this assignment. Please remember to be creative when displaying your information.

Internet sites are your best resource.  Also, writing to the Chamber of Commerce for your city is a great way to receive pamphlets and information about visiting your city.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

                                                                                 Sincerely,

                                                                                 Stacey Holden
