Eclipse information for Monday August 21st

posted Aug 18, 2017, 11:28 AM by Paul Higginbotham

Parents and Guardians:

I wanted to let everyone know how we are handling the eclipse on Monday. We have had viewing glasses donated to LHS. It will be optional for teachers to take their students out to the LHS student parking lot at the start of 4th block. The approximate time of the eclipse is 1:20 p.m. Students will return to the building at 1:25. Those students who do not wish to view the eclipse will be allowed to stay in the building supervised.

Foreign Language Update

posted Aug 15, 2017, 8:49 AM by Paul Higginbotham

Dear Parents/Guardians:

I wanted to update everyone on Foreign Language and the schedule at LHS for this year. Updated schedules will be handed out in class meetings on Wednesday for all students.

LHS will have Spanish on the A day schedule. Below is how your students schedule will be impacted if you were in Foreign Language on B Day.

  • If your student is enrolled in Spanish I or Spanish II on A day, their schedule does not change.

  • If your student was enrolled in French I. That class now becomes Spanish I. Those student in French I who have had Spanish will take Geography.

  • If your student was enrolled in Spanish I on B day, they will now take Geography.

  • If your student was enrolled in Spanish II. Mrs. Stewart is looking to move you to A day Spanish II if possible. If not, you will be enrolled in World Contemporary.

  • If your student is in French II, they will be enrolled in Geography.

Parents and Students reporting illness

posted Oct 15, 2014, 10:08 AM by Paul Higginbotham

A reminder for student and parents. If your student is at school and feeling ill, they need to report to the office before texting home. This is a safety precaution for the school to know that a student is not feeling well. This lets the administration know if they need to check on a student who is ill and may go to the restroom. Once a student reports to the office they can then text home to contact a parent or the office can make the call. Thank you for your help in this matter.
