The Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering

The Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) regional was held on Wednesday, February 14th at Olney Central College.  Teams from all over the region competed in written tests covering biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering graphics, english, mathematics and physics.  The team from Lawrenceville High School took 2nd place behind Robinson.  Six team members medaled and the entire team will advance to the sectional contest at Eastern Illinois University on March 8th.  Nate Seed won 3rd place in engineering graphics and Nolan Tewell was 2nd.  Emily Moore won 1st place in English and 2nd place in chemistry.  Jack Holden won 1st place in chemistry.  Abigail Love placed 3rd in computer science and Emanuele Arcelli placed 2nd.
