Welcome! My name is Alesha Loudermilk and I am the School Social Worker for students and families in Red Hill CUSD #10 schools.
A little about me:
I obtained my Masters degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville in 2008, and became certified as a School Social Worker. Being a former graduate from Red Hill I am very enthusiastic and passionate about being a part of the community here at Red Hill and working with families and students. My career experience has been providing counseling to children and families in and outside of the school setting.
School Social Work Services offered:
Services consist of classroom guidance, support groups, and individual sessions. Groups and individual sessions are provided for students with parent permission. Additional support may also be provided to students through our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) process.
Groups that are provided to students at Red Hill School's vary from time to time depending on need but the following is a list of topics that are often covered: Social skills/Friendship, Conflict management, Anger Control, Coping with Divorce, Coping with a death, Coping with ADHD/Listening skills, Feelings, Self-Esteem, and Self-Control.
I am at every school every week. My typical schedule is as follows:
Monday- Bridgeport Grade School
Tuesday- Sumner Attendance Center
Wednesday- Morning-Bridgeport Grade School
Afternoon- Jr./Sr. High School
Thursday- Sumner Attendance Center
Friday- Jr./Sr. High School
