Collinsville High School Math Team presents...

The RETURN OF "A Trivia Night Like No Other!!!"

                      WHEN:  Saturday, March 30th, 2019.
                                       Doors open at 6:00PM.
                                      Game begins at 7:00PM.

                WHERE:  First United Presbyterian Church
201 E. Church St., Collinsville, IL
How is it different than other trivia nights?

  • Cell phones ARE allowed!
    • However, you may not phone a friend, Facetime with a friend, or text  a friend.
    • No laptops, tablets, or computers.
    • Don't think that you'll just be able to google every question, but having your phone will definitely help with some questions!  The people who KNOW their trivia will still have the upper hand!

  • Each round is TIMED!
    • Correct answers are worth 10 points.
    • Three timed intervals will be used to turn in answers.  The earlier the time interval your answers are submitted, the more bonus points your team will receive.

    • Each round will be timed differently depending on how much reading needs to be done per round.

  • Faster paced!
    • Since each round is timed, you will have less down time between rounds.  I can just about guarantee you won't be there after 10:00 PM!
    • All questions will be distributed in sealed envelopes (with multiple copies per table) which means no wasted time repeating questions
  • Mulligans!
    • Although mulligans are not new to trivia nights, the way we use them will be.
    • You may purchase 5 mulligans for $10 at the door.
    • You may use any number of your 5 mulligans in a single round.  You are NOT limited to just using one mulligan per round!

  • Generalized Categories!
    • I personally dislike going to trivia nights and one of the rounds is about a very specific thing like Harry Potter.  I will admit that I've never read nor watched any Harry Potter, so I feel pretty worthless in those rounds!  I want everyone to feel like they have the potential to do well every round!
    • I personally dislike rounds that focus on a specific older era.  I was born in the 80's, so don't ask me questions about events of the 1960's!
