Rob & Teri Nunley

posted Oct 4, 2016, 7:38 AM by Darryl Curtis

Although they had known each other since grade school, Rob and Teri Nunley were little more than classmates and friends until a few years ago.

But fate intervened,  and now they have not only been married for 3 and a half years, but they also have the distinction of being the only three-person team in tonight’s competition, as Teri is four and a half months pregnant with their son, Parker Kent.

Teri is currently the human resources director for Nurse One/Team One, while Rob is a graphic designer with Custom Vinyl Signs & Shirts.

They have both been very active in Relay for Life, with Teri serving as team captain for the McMinnville Jaycees for back-to-back years, helping them to “Bronze Team” status in both 2009 and 2010.

Like many, their dedication to Relay stems from the toll cancer has taken on their own families. Among their many family members touched by the disease are Teri’s grandfather and father, who are both cancer survivors, while Rob’s father lost his battle in 2005.

As a former Warren County Pioneerette and Tennessee Tech Golden Girl, Teri’s lifelong love of dance made her jump at the chance to enter tonight’s competition, while Rob was less enthusiastic, although even he will admit he has had some fun learning what few dancefloor skills he has picked up over recent weeks.

Paying tribute to their family members and friends, team “Two and a Half Nunleys” will be dancing tonight to Kenny Chesney’s She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy".
