John & Rhonda Pelham

posted Oct 4, 2016, 7:36 AM by Darryl Curtis
John and Rhonda have been married for 31 years, and are the parents of two children, Zach and Whitney, daughter-in-law, Diana, and son-in-law, Dean. Zach, and wife Diana Wooten Pelham of Clarksville, now reside in Springfield, TN; and Whitney, and husband Dean Blankenship, reside in McMinnville.

Rhonda is in her 29th year with the Warren County School System currently serving as the Opportunities Program Coordinator and WCHS Annex CTE teacher.

John currently serves as our Warren County Executive, in his second term.

In fact, running for public office is the primary reason that this couple is here tonight. They have no history of dancing-- no awards, trophies, dance club memberships, or fancy moves. They have no lifts, dips, or tango tips and, until recently, relied solely on their dancing experience from the 1977 Prom.

During his first campaign for public office, John made only one campaign promise! …and that was… to take ballroom dance lessons with his wife. Since he has fulfilled that promise, and “Relay for Life” has special meaning to them because John’s mother and sister both lost battles with cancer, they are here tonight to show you what they’ve learned and to support the efforts of cancer research.
