University URLs: Madge, Badges and Microcredentials

Readers of a certain age may remember Madge the manicurist telling customers, "You're soaking in it!" Madge astonished her clientele for 27 years with claims that Palmolive dishwashing liquid would soften hands. Today's claims for badges and microcredentials, as alternatives to associates and bachelors degrees, are equally astonishing -- and these degree alternatives are rolling out:
