UHere are some ideas for getting our scout in the news.

Any outing to "cool" places, when distinguished guests participate in our meetings, or pack service projects are all good reasons to submit a new article.

When naming scouts, use first name and last initial. This is a BSA guideline to safeguard youth identity.

Examples include:
  • Local politician, policeman, town official, or business leader helps judge the Cake Bake
  • Den or Pack visits Fire department, Police, EMS, Courthouse, Supermarket, Radio Station, etc.
  • Pack meets celebrity on Sleepover
  • Pack participates in Holiday Parade
  • Den or Pack helps with River Cleanup or puts in blue bird birdhouses at RVA

Be sure to have a picture, all of the names of the people in the photo, and a brief story.

Please list articles submitted (and if they were published) in the comments on this page. This will make it easier to submit for the Unit Publicity Award, 4 postings in a given year.
