The Exchange Club of Branford is on the move!

posted Sep 20, 2017, 7:54 AM by CT District Exchange Club   [ updated Sep 20, 2017, 7:55 AM ]

The Branford Exchange Club donated 300 youth toothbrushes to the

Branford Early Childhood Collaborative.

The Toothbrushes were produced in many neon colors and were branded with the Branford Exchange Club name.

One out of four children in Branford does not have dental care.

The BECC provides programs that aid preschool teachers in introducing the youth about dental care. Some aids are a stuffed lion with teeth, a giant toothbrush, and a magnetic board that has a tooth. The children can place magnetic vegetables, fruits, candy, etc. on the tooth or outside the tooth.

Exchangites from the Naugatuck Exchange Club spreading the word about Exchange at the Naugatuck Harvest Moon Festival. There was plenty of sunshine, music, food, and friends. We appreciate the efforts of former CT district president Joe Dudek who appeared as Timeout Teddy. Timeout Teddy was a smash hit with all of the children at the fair giving us the opportunity to speak with and hand out information to their parents.

On April 3, 2017 The Exchange Club of Wolcott held a tree lighting event on the Wolcott Town Green to mark the observance and bringing awareness to the National Exchange Club project of the Prevention of Child Abuse. A white tree adorned with blue lights and blue ribbons was lit by club president Bill Kane. Several dignitaries including the Mayor of Wolcott and Miss Wolcott, gave brief remarks marking this occasion. The National Exchange Club's Believe In The Blue flag was raised in front of town hall and will remain there for the entire month of April. The lighted tree will remain lit during the month of April also. Attendees of the event were encouraged to wear blue on Mondays during the month of April.

Child Abuse Awareness Month

posted Mar 31, 2017, 12:08 PM by CT District Exchange Club

Good Day Everyone:

As you are all aware …..Saturday, April 1, 2017… begins

‘Child Abuse Awareness Month’….

‘The National Exchange Club and local level Exchange Clubs across the country are dedicated to raising awareness about child abuse prevention”…says Tracey Edwards, Executive Vice President, of the National Exchange Club. “Support of  this worthy cause is so engrained in the culture of our organization that we support it as Exchange’s National Project”.

President Joe Dudek has requested that you notify our District Board of your Club’s activities to commemorate ‘Child Abuse Awareness Month’. Please take the time to report it, along with photos of your event, to the National Website, and our

Connecticut District Website after it has been completed.

I will try to reach out to you each Monday,( Blue Monday), throughout the month of April, to remind and encourage every-

one to wear something blue to demonstrate our support of this very important National initiative…‘Believe in the Blue’! Remember together we are ‘Exchange Strong’!
