Using Zoom inthe Classroom

Zoom Logo
INTRODUCTION

Zoom is a free web conferencing tool that is widely used in education for enabling online meetings, and virtual presentations.   But its potential for enhancing the face-to-face in-classroom teaching and learning experience offers unexplored opportunities.

This site shares our experience in using Zoom at California State University, Monterey Bay, to overcome common limitations of the face-to-face classroom:

1.  Lack of Visibility
2.  Passive Learning
3.  Disconnected Learning
4.  Instructor stuck up front
5.  Students Readiness
6.  Special Needs/Accessibility
7.  Serving Distant and Local Learners
8.  Replacing the White Board

We invite your input for additional examples and resources to share here with other educators.
