CSTA-SMC is the new San Mateo County chapter of the Computer Science Teachers Association. The CSTA is a membership organization that supports and promotes the teaching of K-12 computer science education. CSTA-SMC was created to facilitate discussion of issues, and address needs that are unique to our locale. We join existing chapters, Silicon Valley (serving Santa Clara County) and Golden Gate (serving San Francisco and Alameda Counties), to serve all K-12 CS educators living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area.
We meet at 4:30PM on the second Thursday of the month, most months of the school year (October through May).
Thursday, 2017, 4:30-6PM, at Burlingame High School, in room C106. We will hold leadership elections and discuss plans for the 2017-18 school year. We're interested in having members lead workshops or discussions at next year's meetings, so please let us know if you have an idea about something you would like to present.Our next meeting of the 2016-17 school year will be on
