Howdy!
My name is Leah Gibson.
I teach fourth grade at Southwood Valley Elementary School.  This will be my 14th year at SWV and my 22nd year in teaching.  This will be my sixth year teaching fourth grade and I love it.  I have taught third grade, second grade, first grade and sixth grade science.  I am very excited about  teaching math, science, and social studies.  Fourth grade is full of exciting math connections, science labs, and Texas history(my favorite!).  I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning!

I am married and have three boys of my own.  I also have a dog and enjoy spending time in outdoor activities with all of them.  I am not an Aggie (my husband is!), but I do like going to many sporting events at A&M.  I also spend a lot of time watching my boys participate in baseball, football, and wrestling. Our family is involved in Boy Scouts, too. I enjoy cooking and scrapbooking when I can find the time.
I also help take care of our very cool bearded dragon named Fred.

Welcome to my page.  I hope you will find helpful and interesting information to help your child have their best year ever at SWV!
Please let me know by email, phone, or note in your child's planner if you have questions or concerns.
I can't fix it if I don't know its broken.
