ACTIVITY LEAD

Dedicating time to explore skills and talents with our campers is a major component to Summer Day Camp.  Our campers are provided the opportunity to explore a plethora of options such as, outdoor skills, variety of sports, strategy based games, and different crafting focuses.  

Our activities leads set the stage and oversee the facilitation of morning activities.  Each day they are tasked with setting up and engaging in activities, supporting and providing feedback to staff, and maintaining the supplies and equipment that are utilized.  Prior to dismissing campers into morning activities, our activity leads also have the important role of leading our morning camp round ups, which are filled with lots of singing, dancing, and challenges for staff and campers.  

As a leadership position, they model, encourage, and provide feedback to staff in the areas of facilitation and creativity.  Activities Leads will delegate staff to take ownership and plan out their designated morning activity.

Prior to the start of camp, activities leads will spend a significant amount of time collaborating as a team, planning, and ironing out the details that go into the morning activity time for each week of camp, staff training, assisting with planning staff events, and Camp Kick Off!
