Medication Policy


PLEASE NOTE

* All medications should be brought to school by a parent or guardian in the original container. The school nurse cannot accept medications sent to school in baggies, lunch boxes, envelopes etc. Written parent permission to give  medication must be on file in the nurse's office before medication will be given.

Over-the-counter Medications at School
Each student must have 
his/her OWN individual bottle of medication 
(Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Midol, etc.)
with a signed permission slip from the parent 
for the nurse to administer the medication.

EMERGENCY MEDICATIONS FOR STUDENTS

If your child has asthma, anaphylaxis or diabetes, they are allowed to carry their emergency medication on themselves with a physician signed statement or keep the medication in the nurse's office with parent permission.
