Who We Are

Mission Statement:
"Changing the world, one computer at a time."

Vision Statement:
"The Asian Penguins exist to have fun and experience freedom through Linux and open source software, to share that fun and freedom with others, and to use open source software to help as many people as possible."

The Asian Penguins are a unique computer club. In fact, we are the first and only Linux users group based in a Hmong charter school. We proudly call Community School of Excellence our home.

Our club is made up of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. We have both boys and girls as members, and our membership includes Hmong, Karenni, and other types of students.

Our common denominator is that we use Linux and other open source software as our main computing platform. We use Linux for school, for fun, for communication, and to help others.
