The Asian Penguins are not strangers to recognition for their work in using Linux and open source software to try to change the world. Along the way, they have even won few awards along the way. This week, they became finalists for another one.

Community School of Excellence, through the Asian Penguins, have been selected as one of five finalists for 2019 The State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) Student Voices Award. According to SETDA's website:

"SETDA’s Student Voices Award honors an outstanding K-12 school or district that has leveraged technology to dramatically improve the educational experiences and achievement of their students. Winners receive the Elsie Brumback “From Honored Founder to Future Citizen” Scholarship, which allows the winner to bring a team of students and educators to present at the annual SETDA Leadership Summit and tour Washington DC."
