Accelerated Reader:
St. Peter Martyr School encourages students to participate in this independent reading program. Students select books within their reading range from the AR test list. Within 24 hours of finishing the book, students take a reading quiz and immediately receive a report of their score. Students are encouraged to set their own reading goals; in addition, standard goals may be set for them by their teacher. Students who achieve standard or personal goals may receive various awards.
     New for 2012-13:
Accelerated Reader and STAR Reading, the testing program used to determine reading range, are now being hosted online by Renaissance Learning (www.renlearn.com). This change to the Renaissance Enterprise programs means that all tests that have been and will be developed are available to our students. In addition, the reading range will be directly linked to the students' Accelerated Reader profile. Once the program is up and running, there will be home access available so that parents and students can view their progress from any location.

Math Facts in a Flash:

This math facts testing program is utilized by or available to grades 1-8. Students must answer 40 problems correctly in two minutes or less to pass a level in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts.
