Classroom Rules
Beginning of Class
You should enter the classroom in a:
safe and appropriate manner
without using a loud voice.
You should have the necessary daily supplies—pencil, folder, notebook, and planner.
With your necessary supplies, you should be in your assigned seat and attempt to complete the assigned task.
No voices should be heard after the bell rings as students work on the assigned task at the beginning of the hour.
1st hour students will need to remove their chairs from each stack and place it in front of their computers.
If you enter late with a pass, give the pass to the teacher and start working on the assigned task.
You should also utilize this time to copy any important information down into your planner. Assignments that may need to be completed at home are circled.
Handing in of "Hard Copies" (Paper) - When Necessary!
Papers should be handed to the appropriate area as designated by the teacher. Be respectful to others as you hand in your papers.
All papers should be labeled with the name, date, and hour.
Absent work
You should check the class website for the days work you missed. If you are home sick and have access to the Internet, you may do the days work and email/share it to me.
If you have questions, you should see the teacher.
Basic Rules
Do not leave your seat without a reason(No wandering in class!).
Once you enter the classroom you may not leave.
Raise your hand to speak.
(Especially no shouting out answers or comments while I'm "TEACHING" or another student is speaking)
No hallway passes FIRST or LAST 10 minutes of class.*
Keep hands, feet, and all objects to yourself.
Prefer pencil over pens and always have something to write with!
Be "Responsible" - It means:
Having an obligation to do something!
It's the right thing to do, especially now that you are in "Middle School."
It makes you feel good about yourself.
Pencils - You should use the time before class to sharpen your pencil.
If the teacher or a student is addressing the class and you need to sharpen your pencil, please raise your hand and hold your pencil. The teacher will then decide to give permission or ask you to wait until the discussion or task is ended.
If you choose to use a mechanical pencil, you will have to supply your own lead since I do not supply lead in the classroom.
If you need to borrow a pencil from me, leave your student ID and get it back from me at the end of the hour as your return the pencil.
Classroom Rules
Headphones
You are responsible for the headphone at the computer you use.
Hang headphones up on the monitor or place them neatly on the Keyboard cover.

If the teacher is speaking, wait til they are done!
Never shout out your request.
As you travel to and from the restroom, remember to be respectful of others. You should return from the restroom in a timely fashion and avoid unnecessary distractions.
EMERGENCIES - IF FOR SOME REASON YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY, LIKE YOU FEEL ILL, JUST QUIETLY LEAVE OR HAVE SOMEONE GO WITH YOU.
Asking a Question/Making a Comment
Think about your questions or comment to make sure it is appropriate and does not hurt others.
Raise your hand and wait patiently to be called on.
“Work Time”
If it is not a group work time, you should work on the assigned task and your voice should not be heard.
After your work is completed, you may work on an assignment from another class, read, or attempt or work on Keyboarding or play a Keyboarding skill building game.
Emergency or Emergency Drill
You should follow all emergency procedures that are posted. This should be done in a quiet, serious manner!
Dismissal
The teacher will let you know when you are dismissed.
Dismissal should occur from your seats, not from lining up at the door.
Your chair should be pushed in and desks should be straightened, if needed.
6th hour stack your chairs next to the wall at the end of your row, in the last minute of class.
You should exit in a safe, appropriate manner when the teacher has dismissed you.
