8th Grade Video Production
Course Syllabus
Objective of the course is to teach students about the finer workings of producing live and taped video productions
Students will learn to use video recording devices and related sound and lighting equipment.
Blue screen and Green screen technology will be incorporated and advanced video editing techniques will be used.
A weekly newscast will be produced to be shown to the school and community via cable and Internet.
Programs that will be used are iMovie, Final Cut, Camtasia, Audacity, Podbean, and other software.

Biography Video Checklist
- Quality recording with low background music
- Length of video is at least 90 seconds
- Narration is in a natural voice (you're telling a story)
- Narration matches the pictures
- Add captions to some of the pictures
- Good use of transitions
- Good use of animation
- Title in the beginning (no narration during title)
- Credits at the end (no narration during credits)
- Music during title and credits
- Name your sources in the credits (name the website and the URL)
- Put your name in the credits
- Put your music and the artist in the credits
- Save project as an MPG file
- Turn project in through Google Classroom
