VARSITY RECAP
Throughout the game against Morton, we were relentless in our pursuit of a victory. Moments after the starting whistle blew, Keon Maggit scored a touchdown off the opening kick return, setting the tone for a dominant Mustang offense. Kayden Smith continued this momentum with solid runs that gained us significant yardage. Some of the younger players saw time on the field, including Isiah Perez Hardin, who proved to be an offensive asset in completing successful runs.
Our defense was truly unstoppable, holding Morton to no score the entire game. Gavin Powels and Ryker Dudley led an aggressive and effective defense. The frequent sacks by the defensive line set a high bar, continuously forcing Morton closer to their endzone. The defensive linemen's solid performance and multiple turnovers on downs further demonstrated their dominance. Antione Hardin's interception in the fourth quarter was just another example of our powerful defensive showing.
The Mustangs not only secured a solid win for Homecoming week but also added another conference victory to our list of achievements, a testament to our team's hard work and dedication.

SOPHOMORE RECAP
The Sophomore Mustangs got the windy Homecoming Battle of the Mustangs kicked off in great fashion on Friday night. The Mustangs put together another game of 3 solid phases of football and all Sophomore Mustangs contributed on Offense, Defense and Special Teams. The Mustangs were on fire early up 27-0 in the first quarter and finished with a final of 41-6.
Players of the Week:
Offense - Liubomyr "Luba" Leskiv has been improving every week and finishing blocks while racking up the pancakes at the expensive of our opponents. He is often found blocking to the "echo" of the whistle and leading by example in games and practices.
Defense - Jacob Fanizzo has been contributing on both sides of the line and stood out against Morton on the D-line week 5. Jacob contributed a huge sack and multiple tackels including another TFL.
Special Teams - Alex Claiborne has been one of the leaders on various special teams helping the Mustangs return game. Alex also had a beautiful 31 Yard TD Reception (from Junkas) and added a couple more explosion plays of 10+ yards receiving and rushing.
Player/Scout/Teammate - Joe Stock has been a top notch teammate all season, he can often be found bringing in the equipment, water or anything else needed. He is often picking up after his teammates in the locker room and has a TEAM FIRST mindset. He is always looking to jump in on scout teams to help the team however he can. Great work Joe!
FRESHMEN A RECAP
On a rainy morning in Downers Grove, the Mustangs took care of the ball and dominated the Morton Mustangs with a 49-0 victory. Cam Lozano, Brice Wheeler, and Cole Houser each had key interceptions, while Cole Asavalerpanich contributed with a fumble recovery. Cole Houser was named Offensive Player of the Week, not only for his rushing touchdown but also for his exceptional blocking from the running back position. Will Mouser and Mike Danial earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors. Will leading the defense from his inside linebacker spot. Mike, has anchored the defensive line at Nose Tackle. Luke Potter was recognized as the Special Teams Player of the Week for his consistent work as the holder on field goals and PATs throughout the season.
FRESHMEN B RECAP
Heading into a week 5 matchup against Morton, the B team focused on having a complete week of quality practices, looking to take another step in the right direction on Saturday. Throughout the week, there were multiple players who stepped up in practice and played hard. Robert Minnick earned Practice Player of the Week for his continued effort to get in on scout team and practice hard! His consistent play in practice is much appreciated and does not go unnoticed!
On Saturday, the B team managed to pull off an 8-0 Homecoming victory over Morton for our second consecutive victory! On the defensive side of the ball, our guys played great, forcing two interceptions in the second half by Brian Swanson and Colton Robertson. Another standout performance was given by Blake Gantner who was a force both offensively and Defensively. Blake had multiple tackles for loss and helped tremendously to secure our victory, earning him defensive player of the week!
On the offensive side of the ball, our team's biggest battle was ourselves as we committed multiple penalties and mishaps that put us in negative yardage situations. Despite this, our guys managed to fight and respond in a positive way. In the third quarter we broke off a 65 yard touchdown run led by our tailback Kam Lewis, with key blocks down field by Chris Rice and Emmit White. This lone score proved to be enough to secure the win and our team to earn their first hard fought Homecoming victory!
HIT HARD - THEME OF THE WEEK
RELENTLESS
This week the program meeting focused on being RELENTLESS. Coach Molinari talked this week about how relentless people believe in themselves and their dreams. They are fully convinced of their ability to succeed. Therefore, they pursue goals and passions, ceaselessly, and are neither bogged down by hardships nor discouraged by short-term failure. Coach Molinari also asked players to think about times they were and were not relentless and what the result of that situation was. Please take a moment this week to talk to your son or daughter about how and where they can be more relentless in their pursuit of their goals.
