Internet Safety

For our student's protection, Colona's Internet usage policy is built on three layers of security:

• 1. An Internet filtering program, updated daily, which prevents access to Internet sites known to have material deemed harmful to students.

  2. An Internet site tracking system that logs all student Internet access by student name and site visited. Periodically that list is reviewed and if harmful sites are being visited, the student involved will be interviewed and appropriate action taken.

  3. Teacher supervision. No student is allowed any Internet access without a teacher being present monitoring student usage.R
