Year 3 and 4 is a world full of exciting and challenging opportunities where children flourish with their learning. In addition to supporting Year 3 children through the transition from Key Stage One to Key Stage Two, we work on encouraging the children to become more independent while enjoying a wide range of new and exciting learning opportunities.

We believe in making learning fun and engaging for everyone and encourage the children to work together in an active environment across all areas of the curriculum.

Topics we cover include:

  • Changing Times - Queen Victoria and the role of monarchs, William Morris, Victorian Heathfield and the coming of the railways.
  • Alive and Kicking - The World Around Us - a local geographical study, map work and locating countries in Europe.
  • Way,Way Back Many Centuries Ago... - peoples and cultures including the Stone Age and Ancient Egypt with a visit from an Egyptologist.
