In Early Years we provide a rich experience of play based learning. We encourage the children to have their own ideas and explore the world around them, learning as they do this. Everyone's contribution is valued and each child is unique and special. We provide secure and clear boundaries with high expectations for behaviour and encourage all children to form good relationships with peers and adults alike.

Within the classroom we embrace the children's strenghts and create the curriculum around their interests to ensure that the children continue to be inspired and engaged through fun learning. The children pursue their learning both indoors and outdoors whatever the weather! We focus on embedding the key skills of life-long learning.

The curriculum covers 7 areas of learning. The 3 Primary areas are:
  • Personal Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development

The 4 Specific Areas of Learning are:
  • Literacy: Reading and Writing
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

In the Early Years we very much value input from parents/carers and are happy to meet with them at the end of the day once the children have been collected.
