Nonparametric Methods

Nonparametric methods are useful when the usual assumptions about underlying distributions are not met, or are not verifiable.  They may be used by themselves, or they may be used to verify the results of a parametric method when the method's assumptions are not met.

An introductory overview of the more common nonparametric methods is given in the attachment "Stat Notes - Nonparametric Statistics.pdf"
