About Us

Boise is a city that is renowned for outdoor sports like White Water Rafting, Biking, Hiking, Baseball, Soccer, Lacrosse, Frisbee Golf, Football and many more. Cricket, until recently,  was never thought of as a sport that would raise interest amongst local sport-loving residents. Quite surprisingly, there has been tremendous growth for cricket in the treasure valley. It is also considered as one of the national games in countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, and Australia .

Cricket started in Boise more than a decade ago, during the mid 1990s when guys from India and Pakistan got together at the Micron® Technology’s (Idaho-based semi-conductor company) softball field and played with tennis ball, using the baseball diamond as their pitch.

Since then, cricket has evolved to a great extent in Boise. Several of the original members moved out of the city, leaving it to the hands of younger generation. Yet the fire and enthusiasm for cricket has never been lost in this great community.

Boise Cricket Club was officially found during late 2007 and elected office-bearers for it's administration. The first project of the then officers was to move from the make-shift cricket fields (softball fields) to a permanent one. Thanks to the help and generosity showered from the Boise Parks and Recreation department, Boise Cricket Club (BCC)® has its own proper pitch to play hard ball cricket at Ann Morrison Park, the most scenic park in Boise.
As of today, the club proudly holds about 75 players. If interested in playing, you can always show up for a practice game. If you need more information about the league, you can write to us here.
