I have four children, Caleb, Erika, Cameron and Leesha. I have been a school principal since the Fall of 2005. Before serving as a school administrator, I taught or tutored mathematics at every level from Kindergarten to College Freshman. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my family. I welcome you to stop by the school and visit. My door is always open. Thank you for giving us the privilege of traveling the educational highway with your children! | What's important in school? I believe in a student-centric model of learning. Inside each learner is an innate desire to know. Curiosity is a powerful force which, when properly harnessed, will promote investigation and strengthen learning. A teacher's responsibility is to ensure students have access to quality curriculum and are actively engaged in deepening their understanding. There are a number of factors which contribute to the success of our students. At the top of that list, in my mind, is what educational researcher Robert Marzano terms a "safe-orderly environment." Our goal at Crawford High School is to provide our students with a warm environment rich with learning experiences that promote each learner's natural curiosity. |
