Model United Nations

Model U.N. is a student organization that aims to educate student about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda. Students role-play as diplomats representing a nation in a simulated session of the United Nations, such as the Security Council or the General Assembly. Student research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems.

eLearning and Online Courses @CPCC

A display and several sessions will be hosted by CPCC's eLearning area on online course development and management. Educators and college faculty are encouraged to attend. Professional Development credit will be awarded to employees. CPCC offers eLearning courses in a variety of convenient formats to meet the needs of our students: television and video-based telecourses, online Internet-based courses, non-credit training courses and more!

Catawba College
Catawba College has the only bachelor's program with Central Piedmont Community College that allows CPCC graduates to complete their bachelor's degree on the CPCC campus. If you start here, you can end here. No more learning new driving patterns, buildings, and resources. We currently offer two degrees paths, with more to come in the very near future (watch our Facebook and Twitter pages for details!).

This simulator allows connection of Caterpillar proprietary electronic technician software view different parameters to make the engine operate to OEM standards. Supplies are limited. Corporate and Continuing Education focuses on increasing the level of skills, knowledge and abilities in individuals and on the success of organizations who employ them. The Corporate Learning Center is the gateway for employers and is dedicated to organizational learning and talent development.For those who want to start or grow a small business, CPCC offers the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Center. Local and state-funded resources combine to provide comprehensive training and services, including fee-based courses, free seminars, counseling, events and more.

CPCC Biology

Attendees can view demonstrations on bioremediation (cleaning up oil spills with microorganisms) and a water pollution demonstration using Daphnia. The CPCC biology program offers all of the introductory life sciences courses required by the Health Sciences programs and the introductory courses for a life sciences major. Many of the courses are used by Liberal Arts students to fulfill a laboratory science requirement.

Mecklenburg Amateur Radio Society

MARS will provide amateur radio demonstrations including voice, morse code, and digital in a temperary emergency configuration. When all else fails, ham radio works! Based in Charlotte, NC, MARS (founded 1949) serves 'Hams' (Amateur Radio Operators) in Mecklenburg county and the surrounding area.
