Little Dresses for Africa
Jody Jackson is happy to share that the dresses sown by our CPCBA women in March found good homes. She forwards this note from Judith Jerry:

"I just want to thank you for bringing the "Little Dresses for Africa" to Kearns. All of them have been taken by the Malawians and two by the S. Sudanese women. Thank you again for you and your church women's commitment and participation in this project."

Little Dresses for Africa provides clothing for girls in Africa. As their website says:

Because of the widespread AIDS pandemic, and other disease, little girls are often left to be the primary care givers of their young siblings. The road is especially tough for little girls and women. It is our hope that in delivering dresses to these young girls, that a seed will be planted in their hearts, in the name of Jesus, that they are worthy.  We plant the seeds; God sends the harvest.

Thanks to all the CPCBA women who made this donation possible! What a great example of small actions of faith here in our church touching lives of those far from us.

An Invitation

Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon aspires to a greater service of God through a ministry mindful of the needs of our congregants, neighbors and, through the Presbyterian Church (USA), the world community.

We actively bind together this community of Jesus Christ through warm fellowship, inspiring worship, nurture, learning, and a long, rich tradition.

We are led by the Holy Spirit to use our abundant blessings and diverse talents progressively for discipleship, stewardship, and mission.
