The Band Hall

The Band Hall was built by the community members in 1944.  The basement of the Hall is a Youth Centre, which includes a two-lane bowling alley, air hockey table, fooze-ball table, video games and pool tables.  The Hall has been a popular hangout for years and many older community members remember going on dates and attend
ing events at the Hall much like today.

Coffee Shop

On February 2, 2009, Cowessess opened a coffee shop in the mini-mall.  It serves coffee, tea, snacks and seniors groups meals.  It is run by volunteers and has become a place where the community gathers for meetings and meals.

Credit Union

In order to help overcome some of the obstacles in finding financial support for on-reserve housing and other initiatives, Affinity Credit Union opened a branch at the Cowessess mini-mall on February 4, 2009.  In addition to normal banking services and expertise, the 1,912 square-foot office will play an active role in supporting Cowessess partnership initiatives, educational programs and community development.
