Infrastructure

Cowessess's water requirements are serviced by a number of means including cisterns, individual wells, community wells and piped water.  Piped water is delivered primarily to the Village and the upper subdivision including the school, golf-course, mini mall and other community buildings in these areas.  The piped water is treated at the water treatment facility.  Other areas of the reserve use individual wells, community wells, or cisterns which are periodically filled with water trucked from the community's treatment facility.

Piped sewage is directed to the community's sewage lagoons located just east of the Village while garbage and refuse ends up and the community's landfill just west of the Band office.

Other services include roads, electricity and internet.  Cell phone coverage was expanded to the area in 2009.
