Economic Development

"As opportunities present themselves our First Nation needs to be in a position to take advantage of the possibilities, whether they are in a Collective or an Individual application. Economic Development is to capitalize upon financially viable opportunities to produce wealth, which in turn creates employment options for the future. It is the mandate of any Economic Development Department to enhance the structures of engagement in order to mitigate the risks associated with the investments made. The course of any Nation building is tied to the administrative structures developed and adherence by the Governing body, with this being stated, Cowessess First Nation can become an Economic force in the years to come. With the due diligence and the recognition of a Human Resource Retention initiative Cowessess First Nation will over come any obstacles that may impede our goal for self reliance in the future. The prospects of our future generations will grow with determination and the willingness to dream."
