Thank you!Each May, COA joins Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency and Greater Nashville Regional Council Area Agency on Aging to celebrate Older American's Month with Senior Days on the General Jackson. Two thousand local seniors (from Davidson and surrounding counties) board the General Jackson Showboat for a lunch cruise at a reduce cost of just $28 per ticket, made possible by local business sponsors. 2014 Senior Days on the General Jackson will be May 12, 13, and 14. Taking-in a grandchild for temporary or permanent custody or supporting a working parent by providing childcare to grandchild presents unique challenges for older adults in our community.
