24 days until Christmas!!

posted Dec 1, 2016, 8:12 AM by jpalmer@cotterschools.net   [ updated Dec 1, 2016, 8:15 AM ]

t’s been a while since we’ve had an update, but here is a rundown of what is left in this semester:

Mountain Home Christmas Parade, Friday, December 2nd 6:00pm

Where: Mountain Home, AR

When: 6:00

Leave band room @ 4:30pm

Students will be wearing their uniforms and are encouraged to wear gloves and warmer clothes underneath the uniform (just nothing bulky).  They will need their black socks and marching shoes as well.

Most students will stay after school and we will load the bus and leave around 4:30.

You can check your students out at the bus behind Town and Country Grocery in Mountain Home, however, please be there when we do so we can get everyone else home as well.

Those who ride back with us will return to the band room about 7:15.

Evening Rehearsal, Monday, December 5th 5:00-7:00pm

The HS band will be having an evening rehearsal Monday, December 5th to help us prepare for our Christmas concert.  Please make arrangements to be there.

Pep Band, Tuesday, December 6th - Meet at 5:30PM

Christmas Concert, Sunday, December 11th 2:30pm

What to wear: Semi formal - Formal (no jeans, tennis shoes, t-shirts)

Students will need to be seated at 2:00pm so they will need to get here a bit earlier to get set up.

Concert should be over around 3:00pm.  Students need to plan on sticking around for clean up.  Should only take about 15 minutes if everyone helps.

Semester Scale Pass-offs

Every student in the HS has 14 scales to pass off for their semester exam.  Many students are missing several if not all of their scales.  While there is still time, please encourage your students to work these scales and pass them off.  It is a large part of their grade.
