Chromosome Assignment (15 points)

Use the following link to the Human Genome Project Website to help you with this assignment.

You will be assigned a human chromosome to research.

Conduct a web search to find as much information about the chromosome as you can.  Write a summary (using complete sentences and paragraph form) of what you have found.  Include references at the bottom of the paper, but in-text citations are not needed.  Make sure that, at a minimum, the following information is included in your summary:

-number of bases found in the chromosome

-number of genes found in the chromosome

-a list of at least 5 traits or disorders found on the chromosome

-an in depth description of at least two of the disorders found on the chromosome including symptoms, treatments, demographics of individuals impacted

-other interesting facts about the chromosome
